Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026+ technology landscape (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Develop and execute strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Partner with product teams to translate emerging tech opportunities into commercial products
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and industry thought leaders
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage cross-functional innovation initiatives with $5M+ annual budgets
- Monitor ethical implications and societal impact of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record of launching tech products/services based on emerging trends
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (e.g., generative AI, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with tech focus
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
- Experience developing strategic frameworks for long-term tech adoption
- Strong presentation skills with ability to influence executive leadership
- Certifications in emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain) preferred
