Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 breakthrough technologies (quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, carbon-negative tech)
- Develop and execute innovation roadmaps aligned with global sustainability and ethical AI frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Manage portfolio of 15+ prototype projects from concept to market-ready solutions
- Represent company at Davos, CES, and World Economic Forum technology summits
- Build and mentor diverse team of 12+ PhD researchers and engineering fellows
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, NASA JPL, and global tech accelerators
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Materials Science with 8+ years industry R&D experience
- Track record of commercializing at least two emerging technologies
- Expertise in ISO/IEC 42001 AI governance frameworks and IEEE Ethically Aligned Design
- Proven ability to secure federal research grants (>$3M total)
- Published in Nature/Science journals with >50 citations
- Fluency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience leading teams across 3+ international locations
- Active membership in IEEE, ACM, or similar technical societies
