Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 industry forecasts and market disruptions
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum, bio-computing, Web4.0) for strategic implementation opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future-vision into actionable product development plans
- Establish KPIs for future-readiness metrics including sustainability impact and ethical AI adoption
- Partner with C-suite to secure $50M+ innovation budgets for 2026-2027 initiatives
- Monitor geopolitical/regulatory shifts affecting tech landscapes and adapt strategies accordingly
- Mentor a team of 5 futurists and technology architects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with 5+ years in future-tech forecasting
- Proven track record in implementing disruptive technologies at enterprise scale
- Expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proficiency in AI ethics frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Published thought leadership on technology adoption curves or digital transformation
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., CFTE, WFS) or equivalent experience
- Experience securing innovation budgets >$30M
