Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026 technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead ideation sessions for breakthrough applications of emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, biotech)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for future tech domains
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype 2026-era solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget for future tech initiatives
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record of shipping futuristic products or systems
- Expertise in at least 3 of: AI/ML, quantum computing, AR/VR, neuromorphic chips
- MBA or MS in Technology/Engineering preferred
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning for 10-year horizons
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's tech ecosystem
- Portfolio of 2026+ technology white papers or patents
