Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy roadmap for emerging domains (quantum computing, neural interfaces, decentralized AI)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives to prototype next-gen solutions with 3+ year implementation horizons
- Analyze emerging tech patents, academic breakthroughs, and market signals to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board members using data-driven scenario planning models
- Build partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and government innovation labs
- Establish ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-tech symbiosis
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI projections for 2026-2030 cycles
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 3+ years focused on future-tech horizon scanning
- Proven track record leading breakthrough projects (quantum applications, AGI development, or bio-digital interfaces)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism; PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum machine learning, neuromorphic computing, or climate-tech AI
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE Spectrum) or equivalent industry impact
- Experience with policy development for ethical AI and responsible innovation frameworks
- Fluency in strategic forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning, horizon scanning)
