- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps anticipating industry shifts and disruptive innovations
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (IoT, AR/VR, blockchain)
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence for emerging tech sectors
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Establish KPIs for measuring technology adoption and impact on business growth
- Mentor junior strategists in future-tech methodologies and trend forecasting
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record leading transformational tech initiatives at scale
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., Gartner, TechCast)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Demonstrated success presenting to C-suite and investment committees
