Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI/ML, quantum computing, and biotech integration
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen human-machine interfaces
- Establish innovation partnerships with academic institutions and government labs
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with market impact potential
- Drive patent strategy for breakthrough innovations in sustainable tech
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board of directors
- Mentor junior innovators in future-focused methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with 3+ years in future-tech domains
- Published research in IEEE or Nature Futures journal
- Proven track record of scaling technologies from concept to market
- Expertise in emerging tech ethics and responsible innovation frameworks
- Experience with government tech innovation programs (DARPA, IARPA, etc.)
- Deep understanding of global tech policy and regulatory landscapes
