Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize emergency patients using rapid triage protocols
- Administer medications and life-saving interventions per physician orders
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during trauma codes
- Educate patients and families on emergency care procedures
- Maintain strict infection control and OSHA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ER experience preferred
- BSN degree or higher strongly preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in high-stress environments
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system a plus
