Responsibilities
- Design & Implementation: Develop, program, and troubleshoot complex control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA architectures.
- System Optimization: Analyze existing production lines to identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions that drive productivity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Maintenance: Provide technical support for ongoing maintenance activities, including root cause analysis and system upgrades.
- Compliance: Ensure all automation projects adhere to strict safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, logic diagrams, and software backups.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or control systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ladder logic programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development (FactoryTalk, WinCC), and AutoCAD.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in Houston, TX.
