Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel machine learning architectures for next-gen AI systems
- Lead research initiatives in reinforcement learning, generative AI, and multimodal systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate research prototypes into production-ready solutions
- Author high-impact research papers for top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR)
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
- Secure external funding through DARPA, NSF, and industry partnerships
- Stay current with emerging AI trends and ethical frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of industry research experience with peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in PyTorch/TensorFlow and distributed ML frameworks
- Strong background in at least one specialization: NLP, computer vision, or robotics
- Proven track record of deploying ML models at scale
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and MLOps tools
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts
- Portfolio of open-source contributions or patents
