Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in acute care units with compassion and precision
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and discharge planning
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Provide leadership during emergency situations and code responses
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years acute care experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Commitment to professional development and continuing education
