Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 5-year technology roadmap targeting 2026 breakthroughs
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum-AI integration and synthetic biology
- Partner with C-suite to align technology strategy with business objectives
- Build and mentor a team of 12+ specialized futurists and researchers
- Secure $15M+ annual innovation budget through stakeholder alignment
- Deliver quarterly briefings to the board on emerging tech disruptors
- Establish industry thought leadership through white papers and keynotes
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Bioengineering with 10+ years experience
- Proven track record of scaling R&D initiatives to commercial deployment
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, neurotech, or climate tech
- Experience securing federal SBIR/STTR grants or similar funding
- Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and cloud architecture (AWS/GCP)
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts to executive audiences
