Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and complex system modeling
- Design and implement error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to enhance qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Lead quantum simulation projects for drug discovery and climate modeling applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry white papers
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through weekly hackathons
- Secure $2M+ in NSF and DoD quantum research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design using Qiskit or Cirq
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with superconducting and ion-trap quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
