Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 10-year strategic vision for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Analyze future market trends, regulatory shifts, and societal impacts on business models
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to prototype and launch futuristic products and services
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, researchers, and industry disruptors
- Present compelling future scenarios to executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Drive innovation culture through workshops, thought leadership, and internal education
- Oversee $5M+ annual R&D budget for experimental future-focused projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, technology innovation, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching future-facing products or initiatives
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, quantum, etc.)
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MS/MBA/PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in future trends or technology
- Experience with scenario planning and trend analysis frameworks
