Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, AI ethics, bio-convergence) and translate insights into 5-year strategic roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Scenario Planning' workshops to identify disruptors and opportunities
- Develop patent-forward innovation frameworks for 2026 product ecosystems
- Partner with venture capital teams to scout and invest in moonshot technologies
- Author annual 'Horizon Report' predicting industry transformations
- Advise executive board on long-term digital transformation initiatives
- Build and mentor an internal 'Foresight Council' of domain experts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of predicting tech trends (portfolio of published forecasts)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (blockchain, AGI, neurotech)
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent professional designation preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with executive presence
- Published author or keynote speaker at innovation conferences
